CHEF MANSOUR GORJI DEBUTS HIS 5TH SIGNATURE PRODUCT AT
THE 5TH ANNUAL CITYARTS CELEBRATION

5th Annual CityArts Celebration in Dallas Arts District – Sunday, June 15

 

WHAT:

Canary Café chef-owner Mansour Gorji participates in the fifth annual CityArts Celebration in the downtown Dallas Arts District. Chef Gorji debuts his newest item in his Gorji Gourmet product line, hummus. His cooking demonstration will include hummus on pita, a fresh peach salad with fennel, pomegranate seeds and Gorji Gourmet Pomegranate Champagne Vinaigrette. He will also pan sear tilapia in Gorji Gourmet primer with his own puttanesca sauce.

WHO:

Chef Gorji is the chef-owner of Canary Café in Addison, specializing in Mediterranean cuisine using fresh ingredients and simple techniques. Chef Gorji personally prepares each menu item five nights a week in his newly appointed upscale cafe. His award-winning Mediterranean fare features many dishes that incorporate his signature ingredient – the pomegranate. He was most recently honored as chef of the month in Whole Foods Market and DHome magazine.

Chef Gorji has his own product line in Gorji Gourmet, which includes his award-winning sauces and primers and now hummus available for purchase at Canary Cafe, five area Whole Foods Markets and www.gorjigourmet.com. For two consecutive years, he received first place in the Texas Steak Cook-Off (2005, 2004), for his prime rib eye, which was seasoned with his Gorji Gourmet steak primer. His culinary creations have earned rave reviews from The Dallas Morning News, Texas Monthly, Fort Worth Star-Telegram and Dallas Business Journal.
